I hate summer. I hate being hot. I hate sweating. I hate not sleeping because it's too hot and sticky. I need to move somewhere else. Or I need a better air conditioner that doesn't cost a fortune. Bah!
I had a nice Memorial Day weekend. Went up to my uncle's lake house, formerly known as the family lake house. Most of the family is dead now, and my uncle lives up there full time, so it's now his home, but it's also still a family place. I love it up there. My icon is a pic taken there last year. Isn't it purty? :) We didn't do much of anything, just sat around on the deck watching the boats and jet skis. We took a pontoon boat ride around the lake on Sunday night. Had some drinks, smoked some weed, good times. I'm planning to go back up for the 4th of July, which is the weekend after my San Fran trip. Lots of travelling for me this summer! Hopefully the 4th will be as nice as last year. I think a lot of people are planning on coming again for another family reunion type weekend. And that will be a 4 day weekend for me! Woohoo! I can't wait.
I still have stuff I need to get for my SF trip. It's coming up fast! Only 24 more days! Eeeek! *hop*

Leave.Me.Alone.
This post is probably going to make me sound like a total bitch, but it's not like you guys didn't already know that about me. :D
So. In high school I was "friends" with this girl named Valerie (name changed to protect, um, well no one I guess). I use the term friend loosely because we weren't really close or anything. Her mom used to give me rides home, and we hung out a couple times. Before our Senior year, she moved to Arizona and we started writing to each other. Over time, we have written less and less frequently, but we still sort of keep in touch and send birthday and xmas presents. It's been about 3 years now that I just really kind of want this friendship to end. I mean, we weren't even good friends to begin with. I have nothing in common with this girl anymore. If I try to write a letter, I have absolutely nothing to say to her. She really kind of annoys me. She sends about 5 email forwards a day, and they are just stupid. I don't mind getting a forward every once in awhile if it's actually funny and not just "Send this on to 2,000 friends or you will die!" type shit. I don't even look at them anymore, I just automatically hit delete. And don't even get me started on the presents she sends me. I know, I know, it's the thought that counts and it's horrible to criticize gifts, but ugh! Everything she sends me is some little trinkety type thing. Decorative (fugly) candles that you can't even burn, fuzzy yellow dice (wtf?), a furry yellow cover for a rearview mirror (matches the dice. Again WTF? Am I 12?), xmas ornaments (I have never put up a tree), etc. Just all this shit that I feel guilty about throwing away, so I put it in a box and it collects dust.
Anyway, last year I really decided that I did not want to continue this friendship. So I went the cowardly route and decided to ignore her. I did not write, I didn't send gifts or cards. She still sent me something for my birthday, I think. I don't remember about xmas. That may have been the fuzzy dice incident. She is still sending me email forwards, and the thing that has inspired this post is that she used to send them to an old email address I have that I only check about once every 3 months. But now! she has somehow decided to start spamming my Yahoo email too. I'm not even sure how she knows that address. I must've given it to her a long time ago. It just really annoys me.
I knew this girl very briefly almost 10 years ago. She's a nice girl and I wish her well, but I really wish she would just take the hint and leave me alone. *sigh*
Commence with calling me a bitch...
Now. :)

In Dreams
You know, I think it might be a good thing that I never get really good sleep. I think it may be a good thing that I never fall deep enough into sleep to dream. Because last night, I was really tired and I also took a sleeping pill to ensure that I would get a nice, deep sleep. That I did. But the dreams I had! Good god! It scares me the things that lurk in my subconscience. I don't remember exact details, but I know 2 of the dreams I had were very terrifying and violent. People died horrible deaths. Not me, I don't think, but I was witness to it. Thank goodness I wasn't the one killing them! That would really make me worry about my subconscience. I woke up from one of them scared out of my mind. And the other one I had was about me getting evicted from my apartment. Not pleasant, fluffy dreams at all. I don't like it.

Waaaaahhhhh!
I have awful cramps.
I have PMS and it's making me feel very sad.
My fingers keep going numb. There's something not right about that.
I have yet another eye twitch.
I'm so tired.
*sigh*
I wanna go home.
I'm miserable today.

Holy shopping spree!
I went to Fashion Bug last night and spent a nice chunk of change. TGFCC! (Thank Goodness for Credit Cards!)
I got:
1 pair khaki capris- they're really cute. they have pockets all over and a little patch on one leg.
1 pair jean capris- dark wash.
1 work shirt- white w/silver, tan and black stripes, button down with an empire waist. I am addicted to striped button down shirts. It's a sickness.
1 fun t-shirt- brown with olive green stripes across the bust and a cute little design of a palm tree.
1 pair knit capri pants- really pretty green color. I will probably just use them as pajama pants. They're not really suitable for wear in public, IMO. Heh.
2 pair of sandals- I was only going to buy one pair, but they were buy one, get one 50% off, so what the hell.
I think I'm going to buy just a few basic t-shirts from JC Penney, and then I should be all set for my San Francisco trip. Oh, I need some new bras, too. Oh, and I need a new pair of tennis shoes. And that should do it. I guess. Carey? What else do I need? :)
On another note, there are several memes floating around that I have been meaning to do, but just haven't gotten around to it. The playlist shuffle one is one I really want to do, but I have to do that from home. Maybe tonight...
ETA: Newp, probably not tonight. Tonight is fabulous tv night. TAR Finale, ANTM, Lost, and Top Chef. Yay! I love Wed. nights!
Hope everyone is having a good day! *smooches*

Moral dilemma
So, about 2? maybe 3? years ago, someone hit my car, I assume in parking lot at my apartment. They didn't leave a note or anything. I have no clue what happened, or how. But there is some damage to my car, which is a lease. I have been putting off getting it fixed for some time now, obviously. Heh. I've gotten a couple estimates, and they are in the $700+ range. I? do not have an extra $700 laying around. I do not even have an extra $100. My lease will be up in February, and I know that I have to get my car fixed by then, but my only option would be to put it on a credit card, which I would just hate to do. I try really hard to be conscious of how easy it is to get into credit card debt, and I just don't want that to happen.
Cut to today. My boss walks over and says "You know Jen, I just hate walking by your pretty car every day and seeing that big dent on it." I say, "Yeah, I know. I hate it too, but I just don't have the money to get it fixed." To which he responds "Well, why don't you take it to a body shop and see if they would write up the invoice as if they were repairing my truck, and then I could write it off as a business expense. We could just cut them a check."
My boss is always doing shit like that, trying to fool the system and save every last penny that he can, taking money under the table for things that he sells, etc. I've never approved of it, but hey, what can I do? But now he's offering me something, and I know it's wrong, but damn! How awesome would that be? To get my car fixed, which is something that has been bothering me for years, and for free! It's really generous of him to offer, and I really want to accept. But I know it's wrong. I am not a liar or a thief. But this would help me out so much!
My mom and I talked about it, and at first she was against it. Saying how I always condemn him for the shady stuff he does, so would I be hypocritical and accept it? But the more we talked about it, her attitude started to change and she started justifying going through with it. "Everyone does things like this. It's just how business men are. You're only accepting a gift. I know how much it would help you out. I think you should do it."
I don't know what to do. I want to do it, but I know I shouldn't.
What do you think?

Some stuff (and bonus smut!)
My mom has broken her toe. She has been cleaning out her garage, and she was moving some old boards and dropped one on her toe. Owie.
It looks like my sister is finally getting a house. After the fiasco with the last one, I am hesitant to say for sure. They are having a home inspection tomorrow, and if everything is ok there it should be all good. They would be moving towards the end of June. In fact, they might be moving the weekend I am in San Francisco. Yay! No heavy lifting for me!! *grin* I haven't seen the house in person yet, just pictures. It looks nice, but I guess it is pretty small. I think my sister is just settling for whatever house she can get because she's getting discouraged. I hope this isn't a mistake. We'll see. I can't wait to see the house!
My tooth had been feeling better for awhile, but it is hurting again today. I think I need to go home and do a good flossing job. That usually helps. I don't floss regularly. *slaps hand* Do you?
I think I will be doing laundry tonight. How exciting.
And? just for the heck of it (because MM has been slacking lately) how's about a little smut?
1. Do you masturbate?
2. How often?
3. Digitally or battery-operated?
4. Do you watch porn?
*blushes just asking those questions*

Kids these days *shakes head*
My friend Tracy just got a new job, so I told her I'd like to take her out some night to celebrate. I had some gift certificates to the movie theater, so we decided to go last night. Unfortunately, neither of the movies we wanted to see were playing there. They were playing there Thursday, but not Friday. Pffffft! Bastards. So we decided to see "An American Haunting". I had no clue what it was, really. I hadn't seen any commercials for it, but Tracy had and she said it looked kinda scary... but that it was rated PG-13 so how scary could it really be? We decided to see it anyway, but we reeeeally should have paid more attention to the fact that it was rated PG-13. Not because of the scariness factor- because of the annoying, rude, inconsiderate teenager factor. Seriously, what is wrong with kids these days? When I was a teenager, I never acted the way most of these kids were acting. It would have never occurred to me to take off my flip flop and throw it around a movie theater. WTF? They were talking during the movie, talking- not whispering. They were flipping open their cell phones every 5 minutes for no apparent reason (I guess they just wanted everyone to see that they have a cell phone and are oh.so.cool.) and it was distracting because cell phones are really bright in a dark movie theater. They would get up and switch seats, go to the bathroom, go to get drinks, go to get popcorn. There was like an endless stream of people going in and out of the theater. It also was distracting. And the most annoying part-- this movie had a lot of jump-out-and-scare-you moments and I admit to jumping in my seat quite a few times. What I did not do, that every teenage girl in the movie did, was let out a blood-curdling scream every time something happened, and then giggle about it for the next 10 minutes. Every.fucking.time. Oh, I wanted to kill everyone in that theater. We had such headaches by the time it was over. Do they not realize that there are 100 other people trying to enjoy the movie? I guess they probably do, they just don't give a fuck. *sigh*
Or maybe it's just Tracy and me. We always attract the most annoying people to sit by us in movie theaters. Last night we had an older gentleman who felt the need to hock up a lugey every 20 minutes or so sitting behind us. It was really gross. Had it not been for all the screaming, he would have gotten the award for most annoying last night.
So, Tracy and I have basically decided to never go to a theater again. We almost never have a truly enjoyable time. I try really hard to just focus on the movie and not worry about anyone else, but it's hard. *sigh* At the very least, we will never again see a movie that isn't rated R!
Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, the movie wasn't even that good. What a waste of my gift certificates. Wahhhh!

Uh...
I feel like updating. But I don't know what to write about. Hmmm... *thinks*
Nope, I got nuthin'. My life is a bore.
Anybody else have something to say? Anything you want to ask me? What should I update about?

Eye Candy! (and one notsomuch)
I watched Match Point this weekend. Two very yummy stars in it. Well, I guess three if you count Scarlett Johanssen. She purty. :) But mainly I'm talking about these two guys:
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (I'm very attracted to lips. His make me all tingly. mmmmmmm.)

Matthew Goode (I couldn't really find a good pic of him)

Not only are they hot, but they both have British/Irish accents. *swooooon* I loves me some hot guys with accents. Oh, and the movie was good, too. *grin* It was my first time viewing a Woody Allen film and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed it muchly.
I also watched The Machinist. It was also very good, but painful to watch. Mainly because of this:

I hate seeing people so skinny like that. It makes my bones hurt. I was shuddering throughout any part where he had his shirt off. I kept waiting for him to snap in half. *shudder* But the movie was worth it, as was his performance.
Anyone else have new hot guy discoveries or seen any good movies lately?
Ok, ok. Twist my arm. Edited to add a pic of "Sexy Lips" Miller. *giggle* *drool*
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (I'm very attracted to lips. His make me all tingly. mmmmmmm.)

Matthew Goode (I couldn't really find a good pic of him)
