Thanks to thesaurus.com for the post title. What a cool sounding word. It's supposed to have the little accent mark above the first e, but I don't know how to do that. Anyway, it means mixture, potpourri, hodgepodge, etc. Maybe everyone else already knew that, but I'm getting stupider in my old age.
--Whatever happened to instant win bottle caps? Everything nowadays comes with some stupid little code that you have to go to a website and register to enter to even see if you won anything! It's ridiculous. I wonder if people actually take the time to do that. If not, the chances of winning might be better. Hmmm...
--My sister and BIL are having some trouble deciding on a name for the baby. It's going to be a boy, and the front running name right now is Aidan. Well, actually my sister said she would spell it Aiden, but that looks weird to me. My mom said she thought it was spelled Aden, which is just all kinds of wrong.
Amy also likes Conner for a name, and so do I (waves to Boo) but my BIL doesn't like it. Actually, at this point, he's pretty much closed off to any other names. No matter what we say, he will say he doesn't like it. He's stubborn and immature that way. *rolls eyes*
So anyway, you guys have any suggestions? I told her I would poll you all, and maybe you'd come up with a name they hadn't thought of. She doesn't want a "normal/boring" name like John or Jim (no offense to anyone who has named their child that, to each their own) and she doesn't want anything that starts with a T because she doesn't want matchy names like Tate and Tyler. They are considering Tyler for a middle name though. Oh, and their last name is two syllables, starts with H and ends with ing. Ideas?
--My mom and I went to Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Pier 1 last night. At Pier 1 they had these reed diffusers.

OMG, each scent was better than the last. They smelled soooo good. They had them spread out all over the store and I kept discovering new scents every time I turned a corner. They were $12 and I didn't want to spend that much money, but my mom said she would buy me one. I didn't put up a fight. :) I got the Mad Love. "a memorable affair of black and red raspberry fragrances with essences of peach, strawberry, coconut, lime zest, vanilla bean, and creamy cassis." Yum.my. They also had 2 scents that are a standard favorite of mine. They were named Aqua and Downpour. I think you can imagine what they smelled like. I always say anything with the word ocean, water, or rain in it will most likely be something I would love. They didn't have any in lavender though, which is my absolute fav scent.
On the way to the checkout we came across this wine rack thingy that had an Asian flair to it. (Darn it. Couldn't find a pic.) A piece of it had broken off, so they were selling it for $4, originally $30. A deal too good to pass up, no? My living room has a lot of Asian touches and I thought this would look cool somewhere. I probably won't use it for a wine rack. It doesn't hold boxes of wine, so it's useless to me for that. *grin* I just have to glue the piece back together and then find somewhere to put it. Ugh. I said I wasn't going to buy any more useless junk to take up room on my tables. Guess I lied. But I'm planning on hanging a lot of the picture frames I have sitting around, so that will free up some table space.
-- I was supposed to go to the grocery store after work, but I was wiped out. So instead I came home, fixed myself a cocktail, and I will be playing on the computer and watching movies for the rest of the night. Soooooo much better than going to the grocery. And I have something to make for dinner (pork chops and mashed potatoes) so it wasn't absolutely necessary that I went tonight anyway. /rationalization.
--I tried to use bullet points for this blog entry, but they were messing up my formatting. So you get two dashes instead.
