A pic

This wouldn't post on Carey's blog for some reason, so I'm trying it out here. I should have more coming in the future. :)

My favorite memory

I'm sure that other people will be providing more lengthy updates, and I may later tonight also, if I feel like it. I'm still very tired. Anyhow, I just wanted to share my most favorite part of the entire weekend...

The reception was coming to and end. The hall was emptying out. There were 7 crazy women still out dancing on the floor. We all joined together into a circle and started swaying in a big circular slow dance. The DJ announced that he was going to play the last song of the evening, dedicated to the group of ladies dancing with the bride. It went a little something like this:

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well, then close your eyes and try to feel
The way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smilin', keep shinin'
Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Well, you came and opened me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you

Whoa, and then for the times when we're apart
Well, then close your eyes and know
These words are comin' from my heart
And then if you can remember, oh

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
In good times, in bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
Oh, that's what friends are for

Whoa... oh... oh... keep smilin', keep shinin'
Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Keep smilin', keep shinin'
Knowin' you can always count on me, oh, for sure
'Cause I tell you that's what friends are for
For good times and for bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for (That's what friends are for)

On me, for sure
That's what friends are for
Keep smilin', keep shinin'

It was such a special moment. All of us with arms around each other and swaying and singing to each other. Nookie, Glowie and I were all a little teary eyed. Ok, I was bawling. Sue me. *grin* I'm getting a bit verklempt now just thinking about it. I loved that moment. The.Perfect.Song. I even thanked the jackass non-gay DJ for playing it.

More to come later. I don't have a digital camera, so any pics I post won't be up for quite awhile. *pout*

Glow, Carey, Carole, Yvonne, Wendy and Michelle- Thank you all for a great weekend. I can't wait to meet you again. *big hugs and smooches*

It's real.

I've been very excited for most of the day, just thinking how great it will be to meet everyone and to go to Glowie's reception. Then about an hour ago, I started to get nervous. Like, really nervous. My stomach hurts something awful and I'm getting a headache. What if everyone thinks I'm a dork (and not in the good dork kind of way) or what if we have nothing to say (which I really don't think would happen) or what if we just don't have the same type of friend chemistry that we have online? And then I'm also worrying about the weather for driving. It's been snowing for most of the day and I really hope the roads aren't bad. Plus, the last half of my journey will be in the dark. Normally that would be fine, but I'm only somewhat familiar with the area, ya know. I'm just a big ball of nerves right now. I feel like puking. I think it just hit me that it's really real. Today, in about 4 hours, I will be seeing Glow again and meeting Carey, Michelle, Nookie, and Breezy, and Augie tomorrow. It's real. The day is here.

*pops some Tums* *takes deep breath*
